una mano privacy policy

Effective date: 31 August 2026

Una mano is an iPhone keyboard and companion app. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices available to you.

# the keyboard stays private

Una mano does not store, log, sell, or transmit text you type with the keyboard in other apps. It does not record the app in which you type.

The keyboard uses the text access that iOS provides only to perform the action you request, such as inserting or deleting a character. It does not use that access for analytics, profiling, advertising, or feedback collection. iOS may replace third-party keyboards with Apple’s keyboard in secure fields and some phone-number fields.

Una mano works without network access and without Allow Full Access. Allow Full Access is optional and lets keyboard-side settings and first-use tutorial progress save back to the companion app through Apple’s App Group storage. It does not enable text collection.

# information kept on your device

The companion app stores the settings needed to run Una mano, including keyboard position, enabled layouts, appearance, haptics, Motion Switch preferences, setup progress, and a compact purchase-access snapshot. These settings remain on your device in app storage or the shared App Group.

The app keeps the start date of the introductory Plus preview in the iPhone Keychain so the preview can survive a reinstall on the same device. This record does not contain an account, email address, advertising identifier, or typing history.

If you enable Motion Switch, the keyboard processes motion readings on your device to recognise a deliberate switch. It does not retain or send raw motion readings.

# optional feedback

The companion app includes an optional feedback field. Nothing is sent until you write a message and tap Send.

When you choose to send feedback, we receive:

The app does not attach your name, email address, account identity, advertising identifier, the app you are typing in, or text you typed with the keyboard in other apps. If you include personal information in a feedback message yourself, that information is included in the message you send.

If a message cannot be delivered immediately, Una mano saves it in a protected local file and retries while the app is active. That local copy is deleted once our feedback service confirms receipt.

# service providers and sharing

We use the following providers only to operate Una mano:

We do not sell personal information, use feedback for advertising, or use any of this information to track you across apps or websites. We require providers that process data for Una mano to use it only to provide their service and to protect it appropriately.

# retention and deletion

Local settings are removed when you delete the app, except for the device-scoped Plus-preview start date stored in the Keychain, which may remain until iOS removes it. Deleting the app also removes any feedback message that has not yet been delivered.

We keep submitted feedback only for as long as reasonably necessary to review it, improve Una mano, respond to a request, or meet a legal obligation. To ask us to delete feedback we received, email me@pherkan.com with the approximate date and the message or submission ID, if you have it.

Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and Resend may retain data under their own applicable policies where they act as independent service providers.

# your choices

You can use the keyboard without Allow Full Access, avoid submitting feedback, turn off Motion Switch and haptics, remove the keyboard in iOS Settings, or delete the app. You can manage or request a refund for an App Store purchase through Apple.
